Special issue of Language Sciences on the Morphosyntactic Level in Functional Discourse Grammar
A workshop on the Morphosyntactic Level in Functional Discourse Grammar held in Gijón in 2009 has now resulted in a special issue of the journal Language Sciences edited by Daniel García Velasco and Gerry Wanders. It contains contributions by Daniel García Velasco & Gerry Wanders, Evelien Keizer, J. Lachlan Mackenzie, Freek van de Velde, John H. Connolly, Kees Hengeveld, Christopher S. Butler, and Daniel García Velasco & Kees Hengeveld & J. Lachlan Mackenzie. The issue opens with an obituary for Gerry Wanders.

In memoriam Gerry Wanders
On February 2nd, 2012, Gerry Wanders passed away totally unexpectedly as a consequence of a severe brain hemorrhage. As the International Secretary of the FDG Foundation, Gerry was fundamental in the organization of conferences and workshops, the editing of publications resulting from these, the maintenance of this website, and many other things that contributed to the sense of community among FDG researchers. She will be remembered during a special memorial session at the next FDG Conference in Ghent.
